I arrived at my new foster parents' home late Saturday night after a long day. I was sad to leave Ms. Amery at Unleashed Inn but was really excited about getting to go live in a home. The people from Bama Bully Rescue were super nice to me all day even if I did get a little tired.
I slept in the backseat of Momma P's car with my head in her lap almost all the way home. We stopped once so I could go out and Momma P, Daddy S and Ms. Lourie could get something to drink. Momma P had something called coffee that smelled really bad, but she seemed to like it.
When we were almost home, I could tell and sat up to sniff and look around. It was dark so I couldn't see much, but it smelled really good. When we got out of the car, I stretched my legs in the front yard while Momma P went inside. She came out with another dog! I didn't know I was going to have a sister! I wasn't allowed to sniff her or anything, but I bet she's really nice even though I heard Momma P call her a "grumpy old lady," whatever that means.
Daddy S took me through the house and out to the backyard. It's big! I got excited and pulled on the leash some, but I tried to be good. I visited a couple trees and he walked me all over the yard.
We went back in the house and Momma P fixed me a bowl of food and some water. I had to go in my crate to eat, but that's okay. I have a nice bed in there and a blanket. Momma P said she made my bed and it does smell like her some. I'm going to try not to chew on it. She gave me one of my toys and tucked me in for the night. I was a good boy and slept all night without being restless - I was really tired after my busy day.
I can't wait to tell you about my next few days and show you some pictures of me, but that has to wait a little while.
Jeb, the BBR foster pup says "Hey Jake, look forward to your blog!"
